Stainless pipe is not one product: sanitary tube differs from schedule pipe, seamless from welded, and each use has its own spec, wall and grade. STLIX VALLEY supplies every type, produces welded tube to its own specification and ships every lot with a mill certificate.

Types of stainless pipe

Sanitary tube

thin-wall, polished bore for food, dairy, juice and pharma lines — ASTM A270 or DIN 11850.

Schedule pipe

pressure pipe by NPS and schedule 10/40/80 to ASME B36.19 / ASTM A312 for steam, chemicals and water.

Seamless

no weld seam, for high pressure, high temperature and critical duty.

Welded

more economical with tight dimensions, covering most industrial and structural uses.

DIN tube

metric DIN 11850 sizes common on European dairy equipment.

Ornamental

mirror or satin tube for handrails and furniture to ASTM A554.

How to choose

Medium

food or pharma → polished sanitary. Steam or chemicals under pressure → schedule.

Pressure and temperature

high → seamless, or welded in a heavier schedule.

Environment

salt, chlorine or coast → 316/316L. Otherwise → 304/304L.

Field welding

choose low-carbon L grades to avoid weld-zone corrosion.

Sanitary tube is sized by OD, thin-walled and polished inside for cleaning. Schedule pipe is sized by NPS and schedule for pressure.

Do you supply a mill certificate?+

Yes — every lot ships with its MTC (chemistry, mechanical properties, heat number); grade verification with a metal analyser on request.
