Frequently asked questions
What is the price of stainless angles today?+
Stainless is priced per kilo: weight × the price per kg for the grade and finish. The price moves with nickel and the exchange rate, so we send today's price in writing on request instead of a fixed number that may be out of date.
Which stainless angle sizes are available?+
Equal angles from 20×20 at 3 mm up to 100×100 at 10 mm, in 6 m lengths, in 304 and 316.
How do I work out the weight of a stainless angle?+
Weight in kg/m ≈ (2 × leg − thickness) × thickness × 8.0 ÷ 1000 (in mm). A 40×40×4 angle weighs about 2.43 kg/m, about 14.6 kg per 6 m bar.
Do the angles come with a mill certificate?+
Yes. Every lot ships with a mill test certificate showing chemistry, mechanical properties and heat number.
304 or 316 angles for structures?+
304 suits frames, supports, indoor structures and food plants. 316 is for structures exposed to the sea, chemicals or swimming pools.
Which finishes are available for angles?+
Mill, pickled or brushed, and we cut bars to the lengths you need.
