Box sections are the square and rectangular hollow sections made from stainless steel, used for handrails, frames, metal furniture, kitchen and shop fit-outs. STLIX VALLEY is a manufacturer, not just a supplier: we produce box sections to our own specification, ship every order with the mill certificate, and hold stock in Cairo that ships the same day to every governorate.

Square or rectangular?

Square

equal sides such as 20×20 and 40×40 — the most requested for handrails, doors and windows.

Rectangular

one side longer, such as 40×20 and 60×40 — stiffer along the long side, so suited to frames, legs and light beams.

How to specify a box section

Give us four things: outside dimensions in mm, wall thickness in mm, grade, and finish (mill, satin or mirror). Standard length is 6 m; we cut to special lengths on request.

201, 304 or 316?

201

the most economical — for dry indoor use such as decor and furniture.

304

the standard choice — kitchens, indoor and outdoor handrails, food equipment.

316

for salt, chlorine, coastal sites, swimming pools and chemical plants.

Rule of thumb: outdoors near the sea, choose 316; indoors and exposed to water, choose 304.

Weight in kg per metre — theoretical, at a density of 7.93 g/cm³; actual weight varies slightly with mill tolerance. Formula: kg/m = (2 × (W + H) − 4 × t) × t × 7.93 ÷ 1000.

How box sections are priced

Price depends on grade, wall, finish, quantity and the nickel price on the day, so every enquiry gets a written quote within one working day. Send us sizes and walls, grade and finish, number of lengths or total weight, and the delivery location.

FAQ

Can I buy small quantities?+

We are mainly a wholesale supplier, but many box sizes are available from stock in smaller quantities. Send the size and quantity and we will reply with availability and price — with better pricing for larger orders.

Do you supply a mill certificate?+

Yes — every shipment leaves with the mill certificate stating grade and chemical composition.

What is the standard length?+

Six metres; we cut to special lengths on request.

How do I know it is 304 and not 201?+

From the mill certificate, or by testing with a metal analyser — we test on request.

Do you deliver outside Cairo, and how fast?+

Yes — we deliver to every governorate, and in-stock orders ship the same day. We also export to the Gulf and Africa.
